Document Verification Assistant

The role

Verifid is hiring a Document Verification Assistant for our remote team in India. Every screening file arrives with documents attached — payslips, employment letters, education certificates — and someone has to read each one properly before it goes into the file.

You check that the document says what the file claims it says: names and dates line up, the issuing organisation is real and reachable, the format matches what that employer or institution actually issues. Where something is off, you note exactly what and pass it up rather than deciding yourself.

It is a part-time, work-from-home position with fixed shifts agreed a week ahead. New assistants are trained on the file standard and their first weeks are checked line by line.

What you'll do

• Read every document attached to a screening file and check it against the file details
• Confirm names, dates and issuing organisations line up
• Flag formatting or wording that does not match what the issuer normally produces
• Write a one-line note on each document so a reviewer can follow you
• Escalate anything genuinely unclear instead of resolving it yourself

What we're looking for

• Careful reader — you notice when a date or a name is off by a little
• Clear written English for the notes you leave on each file
• Comfortable working to a written standard and asking when unsure
• Reliable internet and a quiet place to work during your shift
• Any exposure to documentation, admin or verification work is a plus, not a requirement

What we offer

• ₹18,000–₹26,000 per month for part-time hours, paid monthly
• Fixed shifts agreed a week ahead, Monday to Saturday
• Training on the file standard, with early work checked line by line
• A named line of files rather than a shared queue
• Fully remote within India

Verifid never asks candidates for payment, deposits or fees at any stage of hiring.
